Tremalzo Bike is a meeting point between sport, territory, culture and tourism. Not a simple mountain bike race but a three-day appointment where you can put yourself to the test and challenge your own limits, relax, enjoy the pleasures of Garda cuisine and get to know places, people and stunning views.
TREMALZO BIKE RACE is the heart of the event. A mountain bike race unique in kind for its difficulty, spectacular nature and attraction. 51km with 2300 metres of difference in altitude. The significant figures. 2 GPM. 63 sharp bends. Passo Tremalzo and Monte Zenone are the day's goals.
The star of mountain bike races - gran fondo speciality
TREMALZO BIKE RACE is a perfect opportunity for proving yourself going up and down the Passo Tremalzo, one of the most sought after goals for MTB lovers from all over Europe. The mountain on one side and Lake Garda at your feet on the other side form the frame for a unique area all yours to explore: Tremosine sul Garda
The start From Vesio di Tremosine, there are a few metres of paved road and then we go straight into the forest road of Piazza Angelini in the direction of Passo Nota.
The ascent The bottom is compact, smooth ground, the ascents are not overly difficult, but the selection will begin to be significant even in the early kilometres. While going uphill there are several tunnels and breathtaking views of the whole area. After about 11km you reach Passo Nota; this is where the most difficult part of the ascent begins. 8Km of unpaved road that will test your strength and technique. An amazing collection of sharp bends, one after the other, and tunnels. You will be literally suspended between rock and sky with Lake Garda in the background and your first goal of the day in front of you. Passo Tremalzo.
Gpm Passo Tremalzo. After 19km all uphill, you reach Passo Tremalzo and its 1850 metres of altitude. A few metres to relax and then you begin the long descent in the direction of Valle di San Michele. The ground is compact and smooth. There aren’t many technical difficulties but maximum attention is needed as speed will be important, and choosing the right trajectory even more so.
Valle di S. Michele. After about 4 km, we are at the bottom of the valley, near the San Michele basin. From here there are 4 km of slight uphill climb to reach Polzone and take the real ascent to GPM Monte Zenone. You will begin to feel the strain and you must measure your efforts carefully. 5Km of hard climbs on forest roads. The last 2km are amazing, as you will really be suspended in air. At this point there will be one of the most spectacular moments of the entire route.
Gpm Monte Zenone. A pleasant discovery, with a unique view over the entire route and with Borgo di Vesio below you, the point you set off from a few hours ago. A few seconds to relax and then down the steep descent to the finish line.
The final stretch. After 51km you will be at the starting point again in the old centre of Borgo di Vesio.
An exceptionally demanding and panoramic route.
Demanding change in altitude but technically possible for many.

Tremosine sul Garda: A paradise hanging between the lake and the sky!
Eighteen fractions: one of which is situated right on the shore, and the remainder dotted around on a busy plateau. It is set on hillocks of panoramic beauty towering over the entire Lake Garda. Tremosine is situated in the heart of the “Parco Alto Garda Bresciano” (Brescian Upper Garda Park) and it embodies its very essence, whilst bringing together all the natural and environmental qualities which are characteristic of an area of protected nature.
The most significant among these qualities has to be its scenic beauty. Here, the highest mountains in the Park fade into the blue of Lake Garda, creating settings you have never seen before. A natural haven yet untouched and unspoiled, the green plateau of Tremosine stretches out among the mountains and the lake, the Alpine and the Mediterranean and comforts the soul of its visitors. Opposite, on the other side of the lake, Mount Baldo stands imposingly. The road running along the deep gorge of the Brasa stream is marvellous, at times dug deep within the rock and others jutting out from overhanging cliffs leaving you in awe. Upon its inauguration, back in 1913, a correspondent for the Frankfurter Zeitung defined it as “the most beautiful road in the world”. Driving along it, it takes just a few minutes to go from the animated Lake Garda shore to the peacefulness of the plateau, where terraces sheer above the lake display all is splendour to the human eye. From the “Terrazza del brivido”, suspended 350 metres above the lake, the view is breathtaking.
And, when evening comes, you can discover the delicacies of refined yet simple cooking. There are many typical restaurants as well as numerous holiday farms whose strong points are the very typical products and traditions of the region. Even as far as cooking is concerned, the mingling of Mediterranean and Alpine flavours can be noticed: from lake fish to mountain game, from the famous Garda extra virgin olive oil to the noteworthy black truffles, and from wines to a variety of cheeses.
A holiday in Tremosine offers a unique pleasant ensemble of opportunities and interesting activities, making your stay here an unforgettable experience.
"… in the middle of it is a spot where the pastors of Trent and Brescia and Verona, if they went that way, might give their blessing"
